In the last decade, many young Europeans cherished the idea of the Solidarity Action Day. Every one of us who were involved shaped SAME and left a mark in the organization’s history.
It had been 10 years since SAME started spreading solidarity. Together with its member organizations, SAME stood up for democracy, equity, human rights and intercultural understanding. That advocacy had lasted over a decade, and so we were proud to celebrate our 10th birthday last year!
SAME is not only important to many of us because of its impact and the possibilities that it brings to the world, but also because of its people. As a gift to each and every SAMEie, who supported our work and cherished the idea of the Solidarity Action Day, we organized an Alumni Conference. The event took place in Lübeck, Germany, 24-27 September. Together we celebrated and looked ahead to what the future would bring.
