Workshop description

Meritocracy, a big word, hard to pronounce, and yet a driving belief of many aspects of our social life today. Broader conversation surrounding (social) class and the effects it has on us, as individuals, and the society we live in, have surfaced recently. These discussions and this workshop challenge the belief in meritocracy, the idea that solely talent and effort influence our futures. We have to look behind the curtain and ask about class and its effects on shaping our possibilities in education, social enagement, and as citizen of Europe.
