About the workshop:

In our workshop we want to first introduce you to Partnership International e.V., its values and how it is connected with other youth exchange organisations. The next part is based on working in small groups. You will be able to connect with the other participants. The results of that work will be used in the last part where we discuss the meaning and importance of youth exchange on a global level.

About the trainers: Deniz Aytac, Leonie Brose

We are two girls from Partnership International e.V. who will work on international understanding and youth exchange during our workshop for the Act.ival. Deniz (she/her) is 22 years old and currently studying educational sciences in Marburg, Germany. Leo (she/her) ist 24 years old and also studying educational sciences in Marburg. We've been working as volunteers in youth exchange for over 8 years now and hope to have interesting and controversial discussions with other people during our workshop. Partnership International e.V. is a non-profit organisation that was founded in 1961 in Germany. Every year about 150-170 students go to the US, Canada, England and Ireland with the help of us and around 50-70 American and Colombian students come to German host families. The organisation is trying to work towards achieving more peace and international understanding between the exchange countries in order to normalise diversity and create an understanding for different ideas of living, styles of politics and so on.
