In today’s consumer world, mass manufacturing produces linear product lifecycles from virgin material to trash. The world needs a large shift towards more sustainable product habits and with it a greater sense of community. Reuse → Repair → Upcycle → recycle.
In this workshop we discuss repair from its role in a circular economy to how to repair your own belongings that still have plenty of life left in them. For complete beginners to DIY pros, this workshop aims to be a space to learn from each other as a community. Other topics covered will include resource libraries, what is repairable, cleaning, gluing and replacing parts.
