About the workshop:

Together we will discover what resources are and how they are directly connected to actual global conflicts. But we also go further and create a new approach to what resources could or should be and how these new understandings can serve society as well as the environment. Let’s learn, unlearn and re-learn together the role of resources for sustainable futures.

About the trainer: Max Schmidt, Sarah Just

Max Schmidt is a young M.Sc.-graduate in Development Studies. He specialises in the intersection of climate, fiscal and energy policy and has various years of work experience on South Africa and India. He has been active as a facilitator for civil education for seven years. Sarah Just, a member of the peer to peer network team global, is giving workshops about any topic concerning globalisation. Besides that Sarah is studying expressive arts in social transformation, using arts as a educational and political medium and practicing arts with focus on poetry and performance. We see teamGLOBAL as a "development laboratory" in which awareness and skills for the individual and social shaping of tomorrow's world are acquired. We do not see ourselves as experts, but as fellow learners at eye level. The learning process is therefore always based on curious exploration, open dialogue and playful experimentation.
