The idea of the Solidarity Action Day is simple: Young people swap their normal day at school for a job of their choice. They donate their salaries to youth-related projects from all over the world. Large number of young people participate in the Solidarity Action Day annually. The aim of the Action Day is to establish solidarity between youth during their years of education, including marginalized / oppressed youth with fewer opportunities and / or minorities around the world. This workshop will provide step-by-step guidance for the future organizers.

Hi, my name is Filip and I'm studying sociology in Belgrade, Serbia. I'm currently a Board member in SAME, and as a member often the Board my working field is to hlep spread the idea of the Solidarity Action Day all over Europe! That's why, on this year's Act.Ival for future, I'll be hosting a workshop about the Solidarity Action Day, so you can learn in which ways you can organize your own Solidarity Action Day in your community

My name is Janne and I'm currently doing my voluntary service at the SAME office in Lübeck. Over the past months, I've been working with the SAME Member and Candidate Organizations, but I also travelled across Europe to spread the idea of the Solidarity Action Day, just like I'm doing in this workshop! I'm from Belgium and still involved in SAME's Belgian member organisation, YOUCA. Before my voluntary service, I finished my studies in philosophy at KU Leuven.
