Mentorship visit to PNTP Moldova: strengthening Solidarity Action Day in Moldova – From 25 to 27 February 2026, the SAME Council Coordinator and a SAME Volunteer carried out a mentorship visit to Platforma Națională a Tinerilor pentru Participare Activă (PNTP) in Chișinău, Moldova. Over three days, SAME representatives and PNTP volunteers worked closely together through meetings, training sessions, and joint reflection on the further development of Solidarity Action Day in the Moldovan context. The visit focused on following up PNTP’s first pilot implementation of Solidarity Action Day and supporting the organisation in its next steps. As a youth-led organisation working to strengthen young people’s participation in decision-making and civic life, PNTP brought together 17 volunteers to take part in the programme. The agenda combined practical training with meetings and exchange involving local stakeholders, including the Municipal Youth Center, the National Employment Agency, and the National Youth Agency. These encounters helped connect the Solidarity Action Day model to the wider youth and civic participation landscape in Moldova. A key part of the visit was dedicated to hands-on learning. Through interactive sessions, participants worked on practical topics such as approaching companies, building partnerships, and developing communication and promotion strategies for different target groups. The sessions were designed to be directly applicable to PNTP’s own planning process, helping volunteers strengthen both their understanding of the model and their confidence in implementing it locally. The main outputs of the visit were practical training sessions, stronger local reflection on the Moldovan SAD pilot, and clearer ideas for outreach, communication, and stakeholder cooperation. The main outcomes were increased confidence among PNTP volunteers, stronger readiness for future Solidarity Action Day implementation, and a deeper connection between PNTP and the wider SAME network.
