Do you want to become a trainer in non-formal education and political youth work or guide groups as a team leader? Do you already have some experience and want to take the next step? And would you like to meet young people from all over Europe in the process? Then join our Train-the-Trainer seminar!

This seminar covers a diverse range of important topics to ensure you can confidently and competently lead workshops and youth groups. We will refresh your knowledge on group dynamics, explore how people learn best, and expand your toolkit of methods. Besides, there will be time to explore Lübeck and have fun together. Plus, you will get to know our upcoming events and how you can contribute in the future.

Here's what to expect:

  • Learning & fundamentals of effective information processing;
  • How to keep the attention and engagement;
  • Body language & rhetoric/presence;
  • From objectives to programme flow;
  • How to pick the right method;
  • Group dynamics and conflict resolution;
  • and much more.

You can specify your own topics of interest when you register.
The seminar consists of two parts, and attendance at both is mandatory. The second part will take place from January 23-27, 2025. Registration covers both dates.
Participants will receive a certificate of participation for this training.

Target group

Applicants of the seminar are expected to:

  • be aged 18-23
  • have first experience working as facilitators or trainers in non-formal education activities and the motivation and need to improve their trainers’ competences
  • be active in a youth organisation, network, community etc. on local, national and/or European level
  • have the capacity to run a training practice during the course, on themes related Social Justice & Diversity
  • have the motivation to apply what they have learnt in the seminar to future SAME events (or in similar contexts)
  • be available for both seminar modules
  • be able to work in English
